EightScan (찍먹체질) · Effective November 3, 2026 · Version 1.0

Jinjo Labs Ltd. ("we") runs EightScan, an app that reads food barcodes and ingredient labels and shows how well the ingredients suit the Eight Constitution the user chooses. This policy explains what information we handle and why, who handles it for us, how long it is kept, and your rights.

At a glance

1. Why we handle information

Only to:

  1. find product information and ingredients for a barcode;
  2. read the ingredient list from a label photo;
  3. check EightScan Pro subscriptions and restore purchases;
  4. keep the service reliable and secure (fixing errors, stopping abuse);
  5. answer your questions and meet legal obligations.

We never sell information or use it for advertising.

2. What we handle

Kept only on your device (we never receive it): your chosen constitution, profile names and constitutions, scan history, ingredients you entered or checked, and your language setting. Deleting the app deletes them.

3. How long we keep it

4. Deletion

Information past its retention period is deleted without delay in a way that can't be recovered. Information on your device is deleted with the app.

5. Sharing

We don't share your information with third parties. To find products, the app looks barcodes up directly in Open Food Facts (an open food database), which receives the barcode number and your IP address.

8. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or stop the processing of your information at any time. Information on your device can be changed in the app or deleted with the app. We don't keep information that identifies you, so for server logs or subscription records please contact us (section 9).

We don't use cookies, advertising identifiers, analytics or tracking technologies.

Family profiles can include a child's name and constitution, but they stay on your device and are never sent to us.
